Well, certainly not the current Australian government. But no surprise, it was obvious from day one it came into power. If anyone ever considered it a government using their brains to the best and for the best of the country and its people, well, then they belong to this category of people themselves; a self serving, self interested, self propagating lot, who could not care less for anyone but themselves, their money, their power and influence, their comfort and life style. These kind of people run everything that serves them on the back of others, the environment, the common people, the future of country and the generations to come. Obviously, they do not even care for their own offspring. Their brains are limited to function destructively, moving along a road that in the end is a dead end road, without them ever grasping their brain's deficit. I certainly do not like China's political system, but there is at least brain functioning. To realize that the planet is on the brink of collapsing and will not be able to sustain life as we know it, their commitment to do something about it, is indeed a big deal. Mind you, their intentions will bring them more prestige and power than they even can ascertain right now. And it is indeed way beyond the brains that sit in Australia's, US' and other allies' governments. Did I say, Scott, the Moron (PM and consorts) could learn from China? Yes I did; and they could and should. If they were not so self absorbed, they would not be licking up big brother's empty promises as if they were the creme of a cake. Besides, no cake is to be had. Of course, China saying it will address the global emergency, does not ensure, it will. However, anyone with a least some normal brain functioning, understands that the planet cannot sustain life as we know it, if there is no drastic and immediate action, from every single government in power and every single person living. Scott, the Moron, not wanting to do anything serious about green house emissions because others don't either, only shows what kind of character he has and what kind of politician he is. Only because others don't do what should be done, does not justify own wrong doings, nor is it an acceptable excuse to shake off responsibility. And now, China puts Australia to shame! Well, who has the brains? Not Australia, not its allies! What they stand for, is nothing desirable. Not at a personal level, and definitely not at the governmental, because both are foul in its core.
